With Playstation 5 knocking on the doors and Playstation 4 Pro finally taking wings and soaring high in the hearts of the gamers, this beautiful console by Sony is ready to be dazzled with the much anticipated AAA titles which we as gamers have been waiting for quite some time. From brutal action and heart-breaking stories to the insane, mind-bending tales told by the best storytellers in the world of gamers, these games are ready to be taken seriously by kids and adults alike. 2018 is in its first quarter and we are yet to see the likes of games mentioned below. These are the most loved and highly anticipated titles from the upcoming games for the Playstation platform.
- Red Dead Redemption 2:
Starting with the title that made the gamers from across the world believe in the concept of Karma, Red Dead Redemption 2 is ready to hit the shelves soon in the late autumn period specifically at the end of October this year.
Prequel to the 2010s Red Dead Redemption, this third-person shooter, open world title will let give you controls of an Outlaw, Arthur Morgan part of the Van Der Linge gang in a time set in the wild west.
The title that’s already being thought to become one of the most sold games of 2018 is developed by the Rockstar games.
- God Of War (2018):
SIE Santa Monica Studios are ready to usher in a new age of God of War by bringing the much feared Kratos into the middle of the a semi-open world set as the Nordic theme. The title also introduces Krato’s son and sees how he becomes an intrinsic part of this Father-Son duo working together to take down Trolls and Ogres.
Soon to hit the shelves, this titles promises to be as gory and as bloody as its predecessors. It received a lot of praise for the artwork and gameplay and players are waiting to get their hands on it as it will be released on the 20th of April this year.
- Death Stranding:
Hideo Kojima, the mastermind behind the Metal Gear Solid series has finally decided to grace us with a video game that’s directly worked by him without the interference of the Konami studios as in the last edition of Metal Gear Solid game. This is Hideo Kojima’s first game after parting ways with the studios and promises an open world action game filled with the sparkling star cast like Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen as the protagonist and antagonist respectively.
Other gameplay additions are just hearsay and after winning the E3 Best trailer award in 2016, we want to see nothing else than the story Kojima wants to tell us this time around. The dates are still to be announced.
- Last of us 2:
A game that broke hearts and brought stifles out of anyone who dared to play the previous instalment of the game, Last of Us 2 is ready to hit the stores soon this year. Although the dates aren’t announced, Naughty Dog, the developing studio has already created much hype with its trailer in 2016 which shows Ellie and Joel continuing their advance in the world infested by zombie like creatures. This third person, action-adventure, horror survival game is notorious for the beautiful stories it tells the world. After the release of another trailer which showed unrecognizable characters, fans are dying to get their hands on it.
- Spider-man (2018):
After a rather long time, the famous wall-crawling, web-slinging, friendly neighbour Spiderman is coming back on the Playstation platform soon this year. Insomniac games have taken the responsibility of delivering an action packed single-player game.
Set at a time 8 years after becoming Spiderman, this title shows the 23-year old Spiderman with many likeable characters like Mary Jane Watson, Miles Morales, Aunt May, Norman Osborn, and Black Cat and will face a number of villains set in the Spiderman universe.
The game is set to be released in the September of this year.
