  • Plug yourย Echo Dotย into a power outlet.
  • Open the Alexa app.
  • In the Alexa app, open the left navigation panel and then select settings.
  • Select your device and then select update wifi. If youโ€™re adding a new device to your account, select setup a deviceย  instead.
  • On your Amazon Echo (1st Generation) device, press and hold the action button until the light ring changes to orange. Your mobile device will then connect to your Amazon Echo (1st Generation) device. A list of available wifi networks appear in the app.
  • Select your wifi network and enter the network password (if required). If you donโ€™t see your wifi network, scroll down and select add a network(for hidden networks) or rescan.
  • Select connect After your device connects to your wifi network, a confirmation message appears in the app. Youโ€™re now ready to use Alexa.

  • Open your browser on the Computer and go to https://alexa.amazon.com
  • Log in with the Amazon account
  • once you are logged in, then go to the settings and then select your Echo device on which you want to change wifi settings
  • Now hit Continue and after that press and hold the volume down and microphone button for at least 5 seconds on your Alexa at the same time and then release it.
  • Now follow the instructions on the screen and complete the setup.

Note:- make sure your computer is wifi compatible
