How to configure amped rec15a Extender with modem router using ethernet cable?
In order to configure amped rec15a Extender with modem router using Ethernet cable first you need to turn on your extender
Then you need to connect the Ethernet cable between your ampad extender and your computer
Now you need to open the browser and type at the very top of the screen Ip adress that is 192.168.1.240
Now click on the scan option
then select your wifi network that you want to extend and then enter the wifi password that you were using before
create you extended wifi information and then save the settings
and once the setup will be completed then you can connect your wireless devices with the extender’s network and you can also disconnect that ethernet cable that you connected before ,to the computer
Plug the extender into the power socket, and make a connection between your extender and computer.
Open the browser and in the long address bar type 192.168.1.240
Now click on scan option, it will give the options . Select the network you want to extend then enter your wifi password.
Save the settings and then the setup is complete

Plug in our amped extender to the wall socket and connect your computer with your extender with a ethernet cable.

Open the browser and go to address 192.168.1.240
STEP 3
It will take you to the setup page and you have to click on scan option.
STEP 4
Select your wifi network that you want to extend and then enter your home wifi password.
STEP 5
In this step you can change the name of extended network and password if you want and save the setting.
STEP 6
Now it will reboot itself once light get solid you can go online and check that its working
- Turn On your Amped Extender
- Connect an Ethernet cable between your amped extender and the computer
- Now open your browser and type this address:- 192.168.1.240
- now it will take you to the setup page
- Now click on the scan option
- then select your wifi network that you want to extend and then enter the wifi password that you were using before
- create you extended wifi information and then save the settings
- and once the setup will be completed then you can connect your wireless devices with the extender's network and you can also disconnect that ethernet cable that you connected before ,to the computer.
To set up the range extender plug it into the power near to the router for initial set up.Reset the extender if any changes applied before.Now connect your extender with the computer using ethernet cable.Now Open 192.168.1.240 on the browser.Now click on SCAN button on the set up page to scan nearby wifi devices.out of the list of networks select the one you want to extend the range,enter the password.If you want to make any change you can do it from there and then save the settings.
To setup Amped REC15A range extender follow these steps:-
>Plugin the amped range extender near to your home modem/router for the initial setup.
*If you made any change on the extender before, then reset the extender by pressing reset button for at least 30 seconds.
>Connect one ethernet cable between the Amped extender to your laptop or desktop.
>Open any browser and in the address bar type http://192.168.1.240 or http://setup.ampedwireless.com
>Now you will see the SCAN button on the page, click on it and after that, it will scan the wireless networks nearby to it.
>From the list select network that you want to extend and then enter the password for your home wifi.
>In the next step if you want you can change the name of extended network and password of your choice that you want for it or you can also clone the settings over there.
>Now save the settings and range extender will reboot after saving the settings.
>Once extender lights get solid connect your devices to the extended network and try to go online so that we can check that extender setup done successfully.
