In order to do that follow these steps:
- Try to configure the 5G Band manually
- try to use site survey option after login into the extender’s settings
- try to change the wifi channels for the 5G band on the main router
- Try to reset the Extender and reconfigure it again

Step 1:
Access theextender's web-based setup page.
Step 2:
Click the Wireless tab.
Step 3:
Under the Basic Wireless Settings sub-tab, select Manual.
Step 4:
For the Extender, select a Wireless Band and a Network Mode.
Step 5:
For the Linksys Wi-Fi Routers, you may enable either the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band, or both by setting the Network Mode to your desired standard (i.e. Mixed, Wireless-N Only, etc.).
Step 6:
Enter a Network Name (SSID).
Step 7:
For Network Mode select Mixed or Wireless-N Only, then select Auto on the Channel Width option.
Step 8:
Select a Wireless Channel from the drop-down list.
Step 9:
Set the SSID Broadcast to Enabled to broadcast your 2.4 and 5 GHz networks.  Then, click Save Settings to apply changes.

- Try to configure the extender from a different location where 5G wifi range available.
- Try to reset the extender and reconfigure it again
- Make sure that the main router's 2.4G and 5G band names are separate
