Hello - I am trying to connect my wifi extender N300 for the first time. Â The web address (www.mywifiext.net) does not work when I type it in. Â Also, I am unable to find the Wifi network NETGEAR_EXT which the directions say I should see under my computer's network manager. Â Can someone offer some guidence on troubleshooting these first time set up issues?

TO CONNECT YOUR NETGEAR EXTENDER YOU NEED TO FOLLOW THESE STEPS
1. CONNECT YOUR EXTENDER IN A DIRECT WALL SOCKET.
2. PRESS WPS BUTTON ON YOUR EXTENDER FOR 3-5 SECONDS.
3.PRESS WPS BUTTON ON YOUR ROUTER (YOU CAN DO IT BY ACCESSING ROUTER MAIN PAGE ALSO).
4.IT WILL BE CONNECTED TO YOUR ROUTERS NETWORK.
5.YOU WILL SE YOUR NETWORK NAME WITH EXT AFFIXED IN IT.
6.CONNECT TO THE SAME NETWORK .
7. IT WILL OPEN A SETUP WIZARD FOR YOU.
8.FOLLOW THE STEPS OF WIZARD AND YOU ARE GOOD TO GO NOW.
(IF PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS YOU CAN RESET YOUR DEVICE.)

In this case you should first reset you extender .
1.Plug you extender in wall socket .No surge protector or extensions.
2.Using a paper clip press and hold the reset button on extender for 30 seconds then release it.
3.Wait for atleast 1-2 minutes then check you’ll be able see extender’s network.
4.Simply connect to it and open your browser.
5.Type http://mywifiext.net or try 192.168.1.254 or 192.168.1.250 .
6. You’ll see New extender setup.Hit that and create an account .
7.After setting your account just follow the steps on the page and it will configure it.
