How to setup the Amped REC44m with Shaw wifi router?
To setup the Amped REC44m with Shaw wifi router turn on your amped range extender near router just for the initial setup.(within 10 feet range). Press the reset key for at least 30 seconds. Try to connect your wireless or wired devices with the amped wireless network and go to  browser and open the page http://192.168.1.240 or http://setup.ampedwireless.com. Click on  SCAN button on the page and extender will automatically scan nearby wireless networks . Select network that you want to extend and then enter the password for your wifi.  If you want you can change the name of extended network and can put password of your choice or click on Clone the Settings over there. Save the settings and range extender will reboot itself automatically after saving the settings. Connect your devices to the extended network once lights on extender get solid and try to go online to check that extender setup done successfully.
To setup Amped REC44m range extender with show cable first plug in the extender near to the router for initial setup.Reset the extender if any changes have been made before.Now connect any device , wired or wireless , with the amped wireless network.Now open 192.168.1.240 on the browser.Now click on scan button and let extender scan all wifi networks.Now select the network that you want to extend and then enter the password.You can also change the network name and password if you want to and for future you can also clone the settings.Save the settings and restart the extender.After the lights on the extender is solid you can connect the devices.
To setup amped REC44m range extender with Show cable modem/router follow these steps:-
>Plugin the amped range extender near to your home router for the initial setup.
*If you made any change on the extender before, then reset the extender by pressing the reset button for at least 30 seconds.
>Connect any one of your wireless or wired devices with the amped wireless network.
>Open any browser and in the address bar type http://192.168.1.240 or http://setup.ampedwireless.com
>Now you will see the SCAN button on the page, click on it and after that extender will scan the wireless networks nearby to it.
>From the list select network that you want to extend and then enter the password for your home wifi.
>In the next step if you want you can change the name of extended network and password of your choice that you want for it or you can also Clone the Settings over there.
>Now save the settings and range extender will reboot after saving the settings.
>Once extender lights get solid connect your devices to the extended network and try to go online so that we can check that extender setup done successfully.
for that you need to plugin the extender with the power socket
and connect any device with extender with the help of the hard wire
now open any browser on the device and visit to 192.168.1.240
it will take you to the setup page of the amped extender you just need to follow the all set one by one
- Turn On your Amped Extender
- Now connect your computer or smartphone with the extender’s network
- open your browser and type this address in the address bar:- 192.168.1.240 or setup.ampedwireless.com
- it will take you to the setup page of your amped extender ,from there follow the instructions on the screen and connect your extender with the Shaw router’s wifi network
- and then save the settings
or
we can also configure this extender through the wps method, for that we can press and hold the wps button from the extender for 3 seconds and then with in 2 minutes press and hold the wps button from the main router for 3 seconds and then wait for the lights to get stable on the extender.(make sure that your extender is plugged in with in 15 ft from the main router)
