Go to your Asus Router and turn it on. Then connect your computer with the help of  cable or through wifi with second router’s network. Go to your computer and open your browser and type 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.50.1 or router.asus.com in the top address bar.  It will open setup page, just  click on manual settings and login into the router settings. After going to log in page, then click on LAN option under the Advanced Settings. Change the LAN IP From Default to some unique identification number. After that Go to the Second Tab i.e. DHCP Server  and Disable the DHCP Server and  click on Apply. Connect Your First Router and the Second Router with an Ethernet Cable. After that Restart Both the Router’s. Your router is configured..

To setup the second asus router as an access point, turn on the second asus router, connect any wireless device with the second router's network.open 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.50.1 on the browser.Once you see the set up page,go to manuel settings and login into the rouoter and if not then directly enter the login information to go to the router page. After you successfully logged in click on LAN option under the advanced settings.Make sure that you change the LAN IP from DEFAULT to any random unique IP address. Then go to the second tab and disable DHCP server and click on apply. Now connect the first router with the second one with ethernet cable. It must be connected with the LAN port not on the WAN port.Restart both the routers and the second router is configured as an access point.

  • Turn On  your Second Asus Router
  • connect your computer with the second router's network (either through cable or through wifi)
  • Now open your browser and type this address:- 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.50.1 or router.asus.com
  • If this is your brand new router then it will take you to setup page, so you need to click on manual settings and login into the router settings(otherwise you can enter your login information in order to go to the router's page)
  • once you are logged in, then click on LAN option under the Advanced Settings.
  • Now you have to change the LAN IP From Default to Something Different.(For Example:- If your Main Router's Default Gateway is:- 192.168.1.1 ,then You Can Enter LAN IP as 192.168.1.250(it has to be unique))
  • After that Go to the Second Tab i.e. DHCP Server  and there you need to Disable the DHCP Server and then click on Apply.
  • And you can also make changes in the wifi settings under the Wireless Option.
  • Now Connect an Ethernet Cable Between Your First Router and the Second Router( and make sure that cable has to be connected in the LAN Port of the Second Router not in the WAN Port)
  • After that Restart Both the Router's
  • Now your Second Router is configured as an Access Point.
