How to reconfigure my linksys re6300 range extender with windstream router?

Plug in your extender in the wall socket and then go to any wireless device and connect it with extender's network. Open any browser and type on the long address bar 192.162.1.1.  The setup page of the extender  will open.

You can complete the setup of the extender by following the steps given on setup page.

First you need to plug in the range extender into the wall near to the router for initial setup.Reset the extender if any changes are made before.Now connect any wireless device with extender's network. Now browse 192.168.1.1 on the browser.Follow the instruction from the set up wizard to setup the extender.You can also change the name of extender's network name and password of your own choice if you want.Save the settings and reboot the range extender. You can connect any devices after you see all lights are solid.

to configure your linksys extender with the router

first of all you need to plug in your extender

and then go to any device and connect your device with extender with the help of the hard wire..

now open any browser and type on the long address bar 192.162.1.1

it will help you to reach on the setup page of the extender

you can complete the setup of the extender over there follow the all setup one by one

To setup your Linksys RE6300 range extender with Windstream Modem/router follow these steps:-

>Plug in the range extender into the wall socket near to your Windstream router for the initial setup.

*If you made any change on the extender before, then reset the extender by pressing reset button for at least 30 seconds.

>Connect any of your wireless devices with Linksys Extender wireless network.

>Open any browser and in the address bar type http://192.168.1.1 or http://extender.linksys.com

>Now you will see the setup wizard in the page, follow the instructions to setup the range extender.

>If you want you can change the name of extended network and password of your choice that you want for it.

>Now save the settings and range extender will reboot after saving the settings.

>Once extender lights get solid connect your devices to the extended network and try to go online so that we can check that extender setup done successfully.

• Turn On your linksys Extender
• Now connect your computer or smartphone with the extender’s network
• open your browser and type this address in the address bar:- 192.168.1.1
• it will take you to the setup page of your linksys extender ,from there  follow the instructions on the screen and connect your extender with the windstream router’s wifi network
• and then save the settings

or

we can also configure this extender through the wps method, for that we can press and hold the wps button from the extender for 3 seconds and then with in 2 minutes press and hold the wps button from the main router for 3 seconds and then wait for the lights to get stable on the extender.

if your extender was previously connected with any other router then first you have reset your extender and for that you need to press and hold the reset button for atleast 20 seconds and then release it and after that reconfigure your extender
