How do i assign the wifi password on my WRT54G router?

Connect your laptop with network of the router and open up any browser & type “192.168.1.1” on the top address bar and  hit enter. It will open the login page of your router. It will ask your username and passwrod. (Default username & Password is “admin”). Select   the wireless option and then go to  wireless security now you can easily assign the WiFi password for your router. Click on Save option , your WiFi is secured with the password.

To assign the wifi password on my WRT54G router , first connect the computer with router's wifi. Now open 192.168.1.1 on the browser.If it asks you an ID and password then type admin for both.After you are successfully logged in goto wireless tab then wireless security tab and then select WPA 2 Psk,Now create a new password for wifi and save the settings.

connect your any device with the router

type 192.168.1.1 to reach on the dashboard

you can change the name and pasword on this page under adminstrative option

connect your computer with the linksys router's wifi

now open your browser and type this address:- 192.168.1.1

now if it is asking for the username and password then type admin as a default for both

once you are logged in, then go to the wireless tab

after that click on the wireless security tab

now under the security mode, select WPA 2 Psk

and create a password for  the wifi

and then hit save.

Steps to assign the WiFi password to WRT54G router:-

• First step is to connect your laptop with network of the router.
• Now, open up any browser & type "192.168.1.1" on the URL bar, hit enter.
• To login into the GUI of router default Password is “admin”, as for the User name.
• Click on the wireless > wireless security, now you can assign the WiFi password.
• Click on Save setting, your WiFi is secured now.
