How do i configure my TPlink TL-WA855RE range extender with AT&T wifi router?
Turn on range extender near to your home router just for the initial setup. Reset the extender by pressing reset button with the help of paperclip or pen for at least 30 seconds. Connect any of your tplink extender wireless network with your smartphone or computer. Open any browser on your device and in the top URL or address bar type 192.168.1.254 or http://tplinkrepeater.net. It will open the setup wizard in the page. You just need to follow the instructions given on the page to setup the range extender.  You can change the name of extended network and password of your choice if you want to. Click on  save and range extender will reboot itself . Connect your devices to the extended network, when the light get solid and try to go online so that we can check that extender setup done successfully.
To setup TPlink range extender,plug in the extender to the power and it has to be near to the router for initial setup.press and hold the WPS button for few seconds,within next 1 minute,press the WPS button on the main router.Now wait until the lights on the extender gets stable.Once it's done then you can try connecting the wireless devices with extended network
You can follow these steps to setup your Tplink TL-WA855RE Range Extender:-
>Plugin Tplink range extender into the wall socket nearby to your home router for the initial setup.
>Press the WPS button on your extender and hold it down for 3 seconds.
>Within the 1-minute press WPS button on your home router for 2-3 seconds.
>Wait for the extender lights get stable and now try to connect any of your wireless devices with extended network.
*If you want to connect your range extender with 5GHz network then repeat the same steps once again.
To setup Tplink range extender follow these steps:-
- Plugin the range extender into the wall socket near to your home router for the initial setup.
*If you made any change on the extender before, then reset the extender by pressing reset button for at least 30 seconds. - Connect any of your wireless device with tplink extender wireless network.
- Open any browser and in the address bar type 192.168.1.254 or 192.168.0.254 or http://tplinkrepeater.net
- Now you will see the setup wizard in the page, follow the instructions to setup the range extender
- If you want you can change the name of extended network and password of your choice that you want for it.
- Now save the settings and range extender will reboot after saving the settings.
- Once extender lights get solid connect your devices to the extended network and try to go online so that we can check that extender setup done successfully.
