How do i configure my ASUS RT-AC88U router with Verizon router+Modem?
To setup asus router,first plug in the router to the power and reset the router if any changes are made before.Now connect the verizon router & modem to the asus router's wan port with the ethernet cable.NOw you need to wait untill the lights on the router get stable.After the lights are stable,connect any wireless devices to the asus router's network.Open 192.168.2.1 OR 192.168.50.1 OR 192.168.1.1 on the browser and follow the instructions on the screen to complete the setup.You will have to reboot the router manually after the setup is completed.You can go online to check if it's done.
You can follow these steps to setup your Asus RT-AC88U router:-
*If You made any kind of changes press the reset button of the router for 30 seconds while it's powered on.
-Connect the ethernet cable between your Verizon router+Modem's ethernet port to Asus router's Internet(WAN) port.
-Now you need to wait for the router lights to get stable.
-Once the lights get stable connect any one of the wired or wireless devices with your ASUS router network.
-Open the Web browser and at the long address bar type http://router.asus.com or http://192.168.2.1 or http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.50.1 and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
-After completion of setup reboot your router and then after the lights get stable try to go online so that we come to know router setup done correctly.
