I AM TRYING TO SET UP THE EXTENDER RE 6500.....SO NEED TO KNOW THE INSTALLATION STEPS .

- Plug your Linksys extender to the Power
- Connect your computer with the Linksys extender's network
- Open your browser and type this address:- 192.168.1.1 or https://extender.linksys.com
- It will take you to the setup page of the extender
- Click on the start setup option
- Now configure your extender as a wireless range extender
- On the next page, it will search for the available wifi networks, select your Wi-Fi network that you want to extend
- After the enter the wifi password
- create the wifi information for your extender and after that create the login password(admin password) for your extender
- then you can register your product or you can skip that part.
- Now your extender is configured.

plugin the extender into the wall socket near to your router for the initial setup
now connect any wireless device like computer, laptop or smartphone with the extender network and open the browser on the device and then in the long address type the IP address
it will take you to the setup wizard page, follow the instructions over there and then complete the setup process.

TO CONNECT YOUR LINKSYS RE6500 EXTENDER YOU NEED TO FOLLOW THESE STEPS
1. CONNECT YOUR EXTENDER IN A DIRECT WALL SOCKET.
2. PRESS WPS BUTTON ON YOUR EXTENDER FOR 3-5 SECONDS.
3.PRESS WPS BUTTON ON YOUR ROUTER (YOU CAN DO IT BY ACCESSING ROUTER MAIN PAGE ALSO).
4.IT WILL BE CONNECTED TO YOUR ROUTERS NETWORK.
5.YOU WILL SE YOUR NETWORK NAME WITH EXT AFFIXED IN IT.
6.CONNECT TO THE SAME NETWORK .
7. IT WILL OPEN A SETUP WIZARD FOR YOU.
8.FOLLOW THE STEPS OF WIZARD AND YOU ARE GOOD TO GO NOW.

Steps to setup your Linksys RE6500 –
1.To do a quick and fast setup just connect your extender into the wall socket.
2.Connect an Ethernet cable from lan port of your extender to your computer.
3.Connect your computer to extender’s network . (Linksys_Extender setup)
4.Open your browser and type http://extender.linksys.com or type 192.168.1.1 .
5.Step wizard will appear and just click on start and follow the steps to complete the setup.
Connect your extender in to the wall outlet .
Connect your computer with the extended wireless network
It will open the set up wizard for you
If not then type extender.linksys.com or 192.168.1.1
Then go ahead and complete the set up wizard of your extender .
