How to setup dlink extender with the ethernet cable ?
To setup Dlink range extender follow these steps:-
>Plugin the Dlink range extender near to your home router for the initial setup.
*If you made any change on the extender before, then reset the extender by pressing reset button for at least 20 seconds.
>Connect any of your wired devices with Dlink extender network.
>Open any browser and in the address bar type http://192.168.0.50 or http://dlinkap.local
>Now you will see the setup wizard on the page, click on it and after that follow the instructions.
>From the list select network that you want to extend and then enter password for the same.
>In the next step if you want you can change the name of extended network and password of your choice that you want for it.
>Now save the settings and wait for the lights to get stable.
>Once extender lights get solid connect your devices to the extended network and try to go online so that we can check that extender setup done successfully.
- Turn On your D-link Extender
- Connect an Ethernet Cable between your computer and the Extender
- Now open your Web browser and Type this address:- 192.168.0.50
- It will take you to the login Page of the D-link Extender
- Then Click On Login(by default login password is “blank”)
- Now Follow the instructions and complete the setup process.
- Once the setup is complete then you can remove you ethernet cable from the computer and you can plug your extender to a different location at your place.
