  • TO ENABLE FILE SHARING ON YOUR LINKSYS ROUTER –

    1.Connect your USB storage device into the USB port at the back panel of your Linksys router.
    NOTE : MAKE SURE IF YOU ARE CONNECTING A HARD DRIVE IT IS PLUGGED INTO THE POWER SUPPLY AS WELL.
    2.login into your linksys smart wifi page.
    3. once in the page click USB Storage under Smart Wi-Fi Tools on the left panel.
    4.You should now see your USB storage drive in the Status tab.

  • To enable file sharing you need to connect the external hard drive at the back of your Linksys router in USB port.
    Once it is connected you need to login to the router page.
    Then go to the usb storage option on the left side on the panel

  • Before setting a usb for file sharing on your Linksys router you need to format your flash drive .Then copy your files on USB.

    1.Connect usb in your router.
    2.Login into your router using this address-http://linksyssmartwifi.com
    3.On linksys dashboard choose External storage .
    4.You will be able to see your USB.
    5.Choose folder access and turn it ON.
    6.Now on status check under folder access what IP its providing you .
    7.PC access IP will only work on android devices and windows PC.
    8.MAC access IP will work for apple devices and mac PC.
