i need to enable file sharing on my router
Connect your USB storage device into the USB port at the back panel of your Linksys router.
NOTE : MAKE SURE IF YOU ARE CONNECTING A HARD DRIVE IT IS PLUGGED INTO THE POWER SUPPLY AS WELL.login into your linksys smart wifi page. Once in the page click USB Storage under Smart Wi-Fi Tools on the left panel. You should now see your USB storage drive in the Status tab.
To enable file sharing, you need to connect the external hard drive at the back of your Linksys router in the USB port.
Once it is connected you need to login to the router page.
Then go to the USB storage option on the left side of the panel

In order to enable file sharing on your Linksys router, we need to follow some steps, which are shown below:-
- Connect your external drive to the USB port of your Linksys router
- connect your computer with the Linksys router's network
- open your browser and type this address:- 192.168.1.1 or https://linksyssmartwifi.com
- it will take you to the login page of your Linksys router
- enter the router password(default is admin)
- once you are logged in, then from the left-hand side, click on the external storage.
- now your external drive will show up there
- Click on the FTP server tab and enable the FTP server
- After that, click on the media server and under the Shared Media Folders, add the files or folders that you want to share.
- and then apply the settings.
TO ENABLE FILE SHARING ON YOUR LINKSYS ROUTER –

Before setting a usb for file sharing on your Linksys router you need to format your flash drive .Then copy your files on USB.
1.Connect usb in your router.
2.Login into your router using this address-http://linksyssmartwifi.com
3.On linksys dashboard choose External storage .
4.You will be able to see your USB.
5.Choose folder access and turn it ON.
6.Now on status check under folder access what IP its providing you .
7.PC access IP will only work on android devices and windows PC.
8.MAC access IP will work for apple devices and mac PC.
