  • – firstly you need to check have proper internet access
    -after that open any browser which you use
    – type at top of the adress bar 192.168.1.1
    -if you dont change the default pasword type admin in user nameand -admin as pasword .
    -after that a new page will open at top of left hand side in the starting options there is a wireless option click on that after that
    -there you see wireless sequrity click on that –
    -then scroll down litle bit there u see WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK box. It's near the bottom of the page.
    -Type in a new password. This goes in the "Password" field, though the password field might say "PSK Password" instead.
    -after that save that and then click on ok
    -Click OK when prompted. This will save your new password, though you'll need to reboot your router for the changes to take place.
    -then click on system tools it is the last option in left hand side colum
    -then u find reboot option do reboot
    Click OK when prompted.
    – This will reboot your router. When it comes back online, your password will be in effect.
    -You will need to reconnect each of your previously connected devices to the router with the new password.

  • If your Extender's network is an open network ,it means that your extender is not configured yet with your existing wifi network and for that first of all we have to connect this extender with the existing wifi network and then it will get secured with the password and for that we have to follow some steps:-
    > Connect your computer with the tplink extender's wifi network
    > Now open your browser and type this address:- https://tplinkrepeater.net or 192.168.0.254
    > Enter the login information(default username and password is admin)
    > Now your extender is going to search for the available networks
    > select your network that you want to extend
    > now it will ask for the password and you have enter the same password that you were using for that network
    > And then save the settings and create your extended network
    > now your extender is also secured with the password.
