how to secure my linksys ea6100 router

You just need to go to set up page of your router. Open any browser and type 192.168.1.1 and it will open setup page. Enter your login information and it will open setup page and click on wireless settings and on that option you can choose your password of your choice to secure your router.

IN ORDER TO SECURE YOUR LINKSYS ROUTER WE HAVE TO FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING STEPS

FIRST OF ALL WE HAVE TO CONNECT OUR LINKSYS ROUTER WITH COMPUTER BY AN ETHERNET CABLE OR WIRELESS

LAUNCH A BROWSER IN YOUR COMPUTER  AT THE VERY TOP OF THE BROWSER THERE IS A LONG ADDRESS BAR WE HAVE TO TYPE THERE 192.168.1.1

NOW YOU CAN ABLE TO LOGIN ON THE PAGE OF THE ROUTER

TYPE YOUR CREDITIONALS OR YOU CAN USE  admin FOR BOTH  THE  USERNAME AND THE PASSWORD

THEN CLICK ON THE WIRELESS SETTINGS  AND THE SECURITY MODE FROM OPEN TO  WPA2PSK

AND CREATE NEW PASSWORD

AND SAVE THE SETTINGS

NOW IN THIS WAY YOU CAN ABLE TO SECURE YOUR NETWORK

In order to secure your Linksys router with a password please follow the instruction below:

> connect your computer with the Linksys router's network wireless or via ethernet cable
> once you are connected then open your browser and type this address:-
192.168.1.1
> Now enter the login information (default username is admin and password is admin)
> once you are logged in
> then click on wireless settings and then change the security mode From Open to WPA2PSK
>and create your New password and

then save the settings
> Now your network is also secured.

> Make sure your router is plugged in & connected to network
> Using your pc open any web browser
> Type in the routers IP = 192.168.1.1
Username = admin
Password = admin
> On your left there is an option named wireless click on it
> Go to 2.4GHz & you can change your password there (same goes for 5GHz)
> Make sure you select WPA2 type security
> Hit save/apply

Connect your Computer or Laptop with router's network
> Open browser page and type Default Ip address for your linksys router
in URL address bar . ( Default IP address: 192.168.1.1 )
> Type username and password
( Username: admin Password: admin )
> Click on Wireless option
> Change password for both bands and Change security type make it WPA2 and Save changes.
> Now your router is secured.
