Unable to connect my Dlink extender to the network
To connect Dlink extender to the network connect d link to the wall socket and press reset key for 30 seconds. Make sure extender is close to the modem(maximum distance not more then 10 feet) Go to your computer or phone and open browser and type 192.168.1.1 in the top url bar. It will ask for your login information (default username and password is admin for both). Then it will open setup page. Just follow the instructions and your extender will get connect to the internet.
In order to set up your D-link Extender please follow the instruction below:
- Plug in the extender closer to the router for the initial setup
- Connect your computer wirelessly or via Ethernet cable to the extender
- Pull up a browser at the top on the address bar type in 192.168.0.50 and hit enter
- you will get to the setup screen for your D-link router.
- Just follow the instructions and your extender will connect to the internet
- Once connected move the extender to the location where you want to keep it.
first plug your d-link extender nearby your router.
>if you recently made some changes to your d-link extender than reset your extender by pressing the reset button for 30 sec.
> connect your any of the wireless devices with the d-link extender.
>and now open the browser and on the long address bar you need to type the IP address of your d-link extender and if you don"t know the IP address oh your d-link extender than press the window+R on the keyboard and you will see the run window on your screen. And type over their cmd.
>And then in cmd you need to run the command Ipconfig and press enter and you will see the default address over so that is the IP address of your d-link extender.
>Type your username and password over their.
>Click on the setup wizard page over their.
>click on the login.
>you can see the option to change the name of the wifi networks over their which you want to extend.
>After the whole of the process you will save the settings and wait for the light to get stable.
>When it shows the solid lights than you go and connect any wireless device and try to go online from that device you will see over their that the name of your wifi is changed.
To setup Dlink range extender follow these steps:-
>Plugin the Dlink range extender near to your home router for the initial setup.
*If you made any change on the extender before, then reset the extender by pressing reset button for at least 20 seconds.
>Connect any of your wireless device with Dlink extender network.
>Open any browser and in the address bar type 192.168.0.50 or http://dlinkap.local
>Now you will see the setup wizard on the page, click on it and after that follow the instructions.
>From the list select network that you want to extend and then enter password for the same.
>In the next step if you want you can change the name of extended network and password of your choice that you want for it.
>Now save the settings and wait for the lights to get stable.
>Once extender lights get solid connect your devices to the extended network and try to go online so that we can check that extender setup done successfully.
