  • To setup Linksys RE6700 range extender follow these steps:-
    >Plugin the range extender into the wall socket near to your home router for the initial setup.
    >Reset the extender by pressing reset pinhole button for at least 30 seconds.
    >Connect any one of your wireless device with Linksys extender's wireless network.
    >Open any browser and in the address bar type 192.168.1.1 or http://extender.linksys.com
    >Now you will see the setup wizard in the page, on the same page you will see manual setup option, you need to click on that and it will redirect you to the login screen of Linksys extender.
    >By typing admin in the password box you are able to login into the extender dashboard.
    >Click on-site survey, over there you are able to connect your extender with the existing network.
    >If you want you can change the name of extended network and password of your choice that you want for it.
    >Now save the settings and range extender will reboot after saving the settings.
    >Once extender light gets solid connect your devices to the extended network and try to go online so that we can check that extender setup done successfully.

  • In order to configure your linksys extender, we need to follow some steps:-
    > Turn On your Linksys extender
    > connect your computer or smartphone with the Linksys extender's network
    > Now open your web browser and type this address:- https://extender.linksys.com or 192.168.1.1
    > It will take you to the Linksys page and from there click on Start option
    > then follow the instructions and complete the setup process
    > once your extender is configured then you can connect your wireless devices with the extender's network.

    we can also configure our extender with the wps option
    and for that we need to press and hold the wps button for atleast 3 seconds and with in 2 minutes press and hold the wps button from your main router for atleast 3 seconds and wait for the lights to get stable on the extender.
