- Turn on your Linksys Extender
- connect your computer or smartphone with the extender's network
- Open your web browser and type this address:- 192.168.1.1
- It will take you to the setup page, so click on the start setup option
- Now it will scan for the available wifi networks, select your main router's network and hit next
- then enter the wifi password and hit next again
- On the next page, it will scan for the 5g, select your router's 5g band and hit next and then enter the wifi password again(if you don't have 5g band on your main router then you can select "I don't need a second network" and hit next.)
- Now create your wifi information for the Linksys extender and hit next again
- After that, create a login password for the Extender
- Now register your Linksys product or you can skip that.
- Extender is configured

Steps you need to follow:-
- Plug the Linksys Extender into the power socket.
- Press the WPS button on the Extender and then press the WPS button on the Netgear router.
- The led light on the extender on the will turn green.
- Your Extender is setup, Now you can try to connect your wireless devices with the extender.

To set up your extender –
1.Plug in the extender in the wall outlet.
2.Then on your computer or wifi enabled device you can connect on tp link extender ssid.
3.Once you have connected the device to the extender, open the browser and open this website http://www.linksys.extender.com.
4.Once you have opened the extender page use admin for the username and admin for the password.
5.Then just follow the simple setup wizard and select your existing network and enter the password.
6.Wait for two minutes for the setup to take place.
7.Last step is to plug in the extender wherever you want in the house but make sure its only 30-40 feets away from your router.
To connect your Linksys re6500 Extender you need to connect your extender from the power outlet .
Press the WPS button on your extender and then at the same time on your Netgear router.
Now you need to open the default Linksys re6500 Extender website i.e linksys.extender.com
Login to the extender page with username and password as “admin”
Then Quickly set up the internet connection there and configure all the settings from your router
Once configured your extender will reboot once and it is ready to go
Connect all the devices now on the Linksys re6500 Extender network

Linksys extender setup is really easy if you follow right steps-
First way is WPS-
-Press WPS on your extender then on your router.
-Open your browser and may be setup wizard will appear ,If not try this IP -192.168.1.1 .
And Yes Linksys extender wizard can only be appear on this website -http://extender.linksys.com .
In other answers they have mention by mistake linksys.extender.com.
So don’t try that website may be you will end up getting somewhere else.
Second way is Connecting your device to linksys setup network .
-Once your device is connected to linksys network just try this IP-192.168.1.1 or http://extender.linksys.com.
Setup wizard will guide you through the setup step by step.
TO SET UP YOUR LINKSYS EA6500 YOU NEED TO FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
1. PLUG IN YOUR ROUTER TO A WALL SOCKET.
2. CONNECT AN ETHERNET CABLE FROM YOUR MODEM TO INTERNET PORT OF YOUR LINKSYS EA6500 ROUTER.
3. CONNECT ANOTHER ETHERNET CABLE FROM PORT NO-4 OF YOUR ROUTER TO YOUR COMPUTER.
4. OPEN RUN WINDOW AND TYPE CMD.
5. THEN ON CMD WINDOW TYPE IPCONFIG IT WILL SHOW YOU NETWORK STATISTICS.
6. THEN OPEN A BROWSER AND TYPE DEFAULT GATEWAY IN ADDRESS BAR HIT ENTERS.
7. WHEN YOU WILL HIT ENTER KEY THERE WILL BE A PROMPT ASKING USERNAME AND PASSWORD.
8. DEFAULT USERNAME-admin PASSWORD-password.
9. IT WILL OPEN A SETUP WIZARD YOU JUST NEED TO FOLLOW STEPS AND YOU WILL BE CONNECTED TO NETWORK.
IF STILL PROBLEM PERSISTS YOU CAN RESET YOUR DEVICE.
