It totally depends on your usage and the number of devices that use on the router, however, any speed between 15Mbps to 50Mbps is almost good for any resident.

Depends on your requirements you can have as much speed you want by paying more and more money but its of no use if you are not utilizing it.
if you wanna surf the internet and watch videos 15-20 mbps would also do fine for you
