How to configure link sys extender with the new wifi network?
In order to set up the Linksys Range Extender you would need to follow the following steps:
Step 1
> First connect your computer wireless or wired to the range extender
> login to extender.linksys.com or type 192.168.1.1
> you will be directed to the setup wizard the default password is 'admin'.
> initiate the setup.
Step 2
> Press the WPS button on the router first for 3 seconds and then on the extender for 3 seconds once the light on the extender stops blinking the setup is complete.
steps you need to follow in order to configure your router:
1. Make sure the extender is on
2. connect a cable from the extender to the computer or connect your computer wirelessly to the default SSID of your linksys extender
3. Pull up a browser and at the top on the address bar type in https://extender.linksys.com or 192.168.1.1 and hit enter
4. You will directed to the Linksys extender setup screen, all you need is now follow the instructions and comoplete the setup.
If your extender is already configured with any existing network then first you need to reset your extender and for that you have to press and hold the reset button from the extender for at least 30 seconds.
And once is extender is reset successfully then you need to follow these steps:-
> Connect your computer with the extender's network
> open your browser and type this address:- 192.168.1.1 or https://extender.linksys.com
> Now click on start button
> it will scan for the available wifi network
> select your new network with which you want you to configure your extender
> Enter your wifi password
> and hit next
> now it will save the settings
> once its get configured then you can connect your wireless devices with the network.

>Now you will see the setup wizard in the page, on the same page you will see manual setup option, you need to click on that and it will redirect you to the login screen of Linksys extender.
>By typing admin in the password box you are able to login into the extender dashboard.
>Click on site survey, over there you are able to connect your extender with the existing network.
>If you want you can change the name of extended network and password of your choice that you want for it.
>Now save the settings and range extender will reboot after saving the settings.
>Once extender light gets solid connect your devices to the extended network and try to go online so that we can check that extender setup done successfully.
