  • Steps you need to follow in order to update the firmware of your Tplink router:
    * Make sure everything is plugged in properly.
    * Then type in there the actual IP of your router
    IP = 192.168.0.1/192.168.1.1
    default username = admin/admin
    * Click on System Tools-Firmware Upgrade (or Firmware); click on Browse/Choose File to find the extracted firmware file and click open.
    * check hardware version e.g V11
    * Go to tp-link.in (offiical website)
    * from the venue on the top ,click on
    support
    > download center >(at bottom choose the tp link product and model no.)
    > wifi router
    > select model no.( if you dont know go to tp-link page at the right top corner you can see the model no.)
    > select hardware version, then select firmware
    > at bottom click on the link (save file)
    > once downloaded click on open file location.
    > right click > zip file > extract to( your model no. will be mentioned)click on it
    > open it > you can see that file there( bin)

    * Go to tp-link portal
    * Click on browse ( you know the file location)
    > upgrade
    * Login again
    * You are good to go

  • If you have Tplink Archer CR700 Device ,we can not upgrade the firmware as this is a cable modem/gateway router.
