i just bought this new extender it s hard time connecting it without wps .i cannot connect it with wps as my router does not have wps button on it.

FOllow these steps to setup without wps
- Turn On your Netgear Extender
- Connect your computer with the Extender’s network
- open your web browser and type this address:-192.168.1.250
- it will take you to the Setup page
- now Create the Login information for your Netgear Extender
- on the next page, it will search for the available wifi networks
- Select your wifi network and hit next and then enter the wifi password on the next page
- After that create the wifi information for your extender and then hit next again.
- Now extender will reboot to save the settings.

Connect your extender to a direct wall socket.
On any wifi enabled device can recognize the extender’s network.
Connect to that open network.
Open your browser and try 192.168.1.250 or 192.168.1.254
You will get a new extender setup page just start the setup go through the wizard and make sure you choose the range extender category.

TO CONNECT YOUR NETGEAR EX6100 EXTENDER IF THERE IS NO WPS BUTTON YOU NEED TO FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
1. CONNECT YOUR EXTENDER IN A DIRECT WALL SOCKET.
2.CONNECT A ETHERNET CABLE FROM YOUR ROUTER TO EXTENDER.
3.LOGIN TO THE WEB USER INTERFACE OF YOUR NETGEAR WIFI EXTENDER USING http://myWiFiext.net.

5. IT WILL OPEN A SETUP WIZARD FOR YOU.

For set up Your router nad extender should be closer to each other
Go ahead and plug in your extender to the wall outlet
When the power light is on and steady on your extender is ready to connect
Your computer should be connected on the extenders wireless network
Once its its connected go the browser and open the extenders default ip address i.e 192.168.1.250
Then login to the page and compete the set up process
After this your extender will reboot and ready to go
