HOW TO SETUP MY LINKSYS WRT3200ACM?
plug in the extender into the wall socket and then plug the ethernet cable coming from the modem into the linksys and then with the other cable make a connection between a computer or laptop and the linksys
now open the browser and type the IP address into the long address bar of your browser, it will take you to the setup page
complete the instructions and then set up the wireless password and save the settings.
now your linksys is ready to work
- Connect a computer to your router. This can be a wired or wireless connection.
- Open up a new tab in any browser.
- Enter the default gateway IP address “192.168.1.1″ into the address bar and press Enter.
- Read the License Terms on the welcome page and then click Next on the bottom right.
- Mark the option with your convenience, click next on the bottom right.
- You will be given the option to change your wireless network name and password. Change the info if you want to, click Next.
- Create a router password and hint and then click Next.
- Your Router Setup now.
First you need to connect an Ethernet cable from the modem to the wan port of the router.
than another Ethernet cable from the Lan port of the router t the computer and the go to the wifi list and from there you will see the name of the router over there and click on connect
TO SETUP YOUR LINKSYS WRT3200ACM YOU NEED TO FIRST PLUG THIS ROUTER TO WALL SOCKET(SURGE PROTECTOR OR EXTENSIONS WILL NOT WORK). CONNECT A CABLE FROM YOUR MODEM TO ROUTERS INTERNET PORT . CONNECT ANOTHER CABLE FROM PORT NO-4 TO YOUR COMPUTER. CHECK YOUR NETWORK STATISTICS BY DOING IPCONFIG.
OPEN A BROWSER AND TYPE DEFAULT GATEWAY IN ADDRESS BAR AND HIT ENTER IT WILL OPEN SETUP WIZARD FOR YOU .
FOLLOW THE STEPS AND YOU ARE GOOD TO GO NOW. IF PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS YOU CAN RESET YOUR DEVICE.

I bought my 3rd Linksys router, the WRT3200ACM, in late March 2017. It was a replacement to my 2nd Linksys wireless router, which finally died after 7 years. I installed it per the instructions, but after the install, the internet was not available via any device hooked to the WRT3200ACM. I called Linksys Tech Support on a Sunday, and they actually answered and successfully diagnosed the issue: I had plugged the WRT3200ACM into the exact same spot on my surge protector that my prior Linksys router was connected to. When I plugged the WRT3200ACM directly into the electrical outlet in the wall, the Internet worked on all devices. I then used a different (“unswitched”) plug on my surge protector, and the WRT3200ACM worked like a charm. In spite of the installation instructions, the WRT3200ACM does work successfully when plugged into a surge protector – just be sure to select the “unswitched” plug on your surge protector.

Once your are connected this way open your browser and in the address bar type http://linksyssmartwifi.com / http://myrouter.local or try 192.168.1.1 .
You will get the setup wizard on the screen and it may ask you for default login password so check it on the bottom of your router or try going through user manual.
