How to configure Linksys extender with xfinity wifi?
To setup Linksys range extender follow these steps:-
>Plugin the range extender into the wall socket near to your home router for the initial setup.
*If you made any change on the extender before, then reset the extender by pressing reset button for at least 30 seconds.
>Connect any of your wireless device with Linksys extender wireless network.
>Open any browser and in the address bar type 192.168.1.1 or http://extender.linksys.com
>Now you will see the setup wizard in the page, follow the instructions to setup the range extender.
>If you want you can change the name of extended network and password of your choice that you want for it.
>Now save the settings and range extender will reboot after saving the settings.
>Once extender lights get solid connect your devices to the extended network and try to go online so that we can check that extender setup done successfully.
- Connect your computer or smartphone with linksys range extender network
- After that open the web browser and then type the following address:- 192.168.1.1 or https://extender.linksys.com
- Now enter the login password(default password is admin) and then initiate the steps.
- once the setup is complete then we can connect the devices with the extender
or
Press the wps button on the extender for atleast 3 seconds and then within 2 minutes press the wps button on the router for atleast 3 seconds.
and wait for the extender to reboot and once the reboot completes, extender setup is complete
In order to set up the Linksys Range Extender you would need to follow the following steps:
Step 1
> First connect your computer wireless or wired to the range extender
> login to extender.linksys.com or type 192.168.1.1
> you will be directed to the setup wizard the default password is 'admin'.
> initiate the setup.
Step 2
> Press the WPS button on the router first for 3 seconds and then on the extender for 3 seconds once the light on the extender stops blinking the setup is complete.
