  • To check for new firmware and update your router:

    Launch a web browser from a computer or WiFi device that is connected to the network.
    It is recommended that you use an Ethernet cable to connect your computer to your router to update the firmware.
    Enter http://www.routerlogin.net.
    Enter the router user name and password.
    Click ADVANCED > Administration.
    Click Firmware Update or Router Update.
    Click Check.
    The router looks for new firmware information; if any is available it displays a message asking if you want to download and install it.
    Click Yes to install the firmware.

  • > Connect your computer or smartphone with the netgear's network
    > open the web browser and type this address:- https://routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1
    > then enter your login username and password(default username is admin and password is password itself)
    >once you are successfully logged in, then go to the Advanced tab
    >after that from left side panel ,select administrations
    >under the administration tab , select router upgrade
    and from there ,you can update the firmware of the router.
