Position your DIR-882 near your Internet-connected modem. Place it in an open area for better wireless coverage. If this is your first time installing the router, open your web browser and enter dlinkrouterlocal.net in the address bar. The wizard is designed to guide you through a step-by-step process to configure your new D-Link router and connect to the Internet.
Click Next to continue. Please wait while your router detects your Internet connection type. Create a Wi-Fi password Your wireless clients will need to have this passphrase or key entered to be able to connect to your wireless network. In order to secure the router, please enter a new password. You will be prompted for this password every time you want to use the router’s web configuration utility.
