  • Using a computer or a mobile device, connect your device to the range extender’s default SSID, which is Linksys Extender Setup – xxx.

    NOTE: The xxx represents the last three characters of the Linksys RE6300’s MAC Address. This can be found on the label at the back of the device.

    Step 2:
    Open a web browser, then enter “http://extender.linksys.com” or “192.168.1.1” in the Address bar.

    Step 3:
    CLCK SETUP

    Step 4:
    The As a wireless range extender option will be selected by default upon setting up. Click Next.

    Step 5:
    Select your Wi-Fi.

    NOTE: If your Wi-Fi is also using a 5 GHz band, you should see it with the 2.4 GHz band.

    Step 6:
    Enter your Wi-Fi password in the field, then click Next.

    Step 7:
    You will be prompted to configure the extended wireless network that the range extender will be broadcasting. Change the settings as you prefer or leave the defaults as is, then click User-next

    Step 9:
    Create an admin password to secure your Linksys RE6300. Optionally, you may also add a password hint.
    Step 10:
    Click SAVE

    You should now have set up your Linksys RE6300.

  • Connect the extender in the power socket and wait till you see a blinking orange light.
    Using a computer or a mobile device, connect your device to the range extender’s default SSID, which is Linksys Extender Setup.
    Now Open up the browser and type http://www.setup.linksys.com or 192.168.1.1 in the address bar.
    Click on start setup.Select As Wireless Range Extender and click Next.
    Then you will see the list of all available network Select yours put the password for both 2G,5G if it is available.
    Click Next and configure the extender settings or leave it as default.
    The extended wireless network is the Wi-Fi that your range extender will broadcast for nearby clients to connect to.
    Create an admin password to secure your Linksys RE6300.
    Your Extender RE6300 should be connected now.
