  • Plug in your extender near by router 3-4 feet press the WPS on both router and extender for 3 seconds. Use your laptop or computer, Open the wifi setting, you will see there linksys setup wifi name and connect with it. once it will connect after launch a browser and enter “http://extender.linksys.com” or “192.168.1.1” in the Address bar then hit enter. linksys setup page will be open follow the authomatic setup and join your existing wifi network type the password for both 2.4 GHZ and 5GHZ use the same password for extender and router it will be good for home devices connections you don’t need to join network again and again complete the setup and enjoy the services.

  • To setup Linksys range extender follow these steps:-
    >Plugin the range extender into the wall socket near to your home router for the initial setup.
    *If you made any change on the extender before, then reset the extender by pressing reset button for at least 30 seconds.
    >Connect any of your wireless device with Linksys extender wireless network.
    >Open any browser and in the address bar type 192.168.1.1 or http://extender.linksys.com
    >Now you will see the setup wizard in the page, follow the instructions to setup the range extender.
    >If you want you can change the name of extended network and password of your choice that you want for it.
    >Now save the settings and range extender will reboot after saving the settings.
    >Once extender lights get solid connect your devices to the extended network and try to go online so that we can check that extender setup done successfully.

  • Step 1. Plug in the extender near by router
    Step2. Press the WPS button on router for 2 to 3 seconds & with 2 minute press the WPS button on the extender
    Step3. Open the wifi settings
    Step4. Choose the linksys wifi name and selected
    Step5. Open the website “http://extender.linksys.com” or “192.168.1.1” in the Address bar then hit enter
    Step6. Now you will see linksys page appear up on the screen
    Step7. Now you put the pasword according to you for 2.4Ghz/ 5Ghz

  • In order to configure the Linksys extender AC1200 Max you need to follow the instructions below:
    > plug in your extender near to the router for the initial setup within 10 feets
    > Press the WPS button on the router for 3 -4 seconds and then on the Extender for 3- 4 Seconds
    > Once you see the light stopped flashing on the extender it means the extender is setup now

    > Connect your computer wireless to the extended network
    > pull up browser and at the very top type in 192.168.1.1
    > You will get through a login window default username: admin and the Password : admin
    > click on quick setup and Continue , Follow the instructions to complete the setup

  • Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)
    1. Connect antennas and power cable
    2. Plug the range extender into an electrical outlet close to your router.After the range extender is plugged in the indicator LED on the top will blink white for up to a minute.
    3. Wait for the indicator LED to blink orange before going to step 4. This can take up to a minute.
    4. Extend your 2.4 GHz network.
    a. Press the WPS button on your router. Within the next two minutes complete step 4b.
    b. Press the WPS button on the back of your range extender.
    The indicator LED on the top of your range extender will blink white. Watch the indicator LED on the front of your range extender to verify whether the connection was successful. If it turns solid white, the connection was successful. Move to step 5. If it starts to blink orange , the connection failed. You may try again by repeating step 4 or try browser-based setup:
    5. Extend your 5 GHz network.
    You may skip this step if your router does not have a 5 GHz network or if you don’t want to extend that network.
    a. Press the WPS button on your router again. Within the next two minutes complete step 5b.
    b. Press the WPS button on your range extender again. The indicator LED on the top of your range extender will start to blink white. Watch the indicator LED on the front of your range extender to verify whether the connection was successful.If it turns solid white, the connection was successful. If it starts to blink orange before it turns solid white, the connection failed.
    You may try again by repeating step 5.
    6. Move your range extender to an ideal spot.
    Unplug your range extender and plug it back in midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi. Using your mobile device or laptop, be sure you have at least two bars (around 50%) of your router’s Wi-Fi signal at that location. If you don’t have two bars, move the range extender closer to the router.
    7. Check indicator LED for connection quality. It can take up to a minute for the ranger extender to boot up after moving it. During this period you will see the blinking white LED once again. Solid white Ready to use. Solid orange Weak connection to the router. Find an outlet closer to your router. Blinking orange Not connected to the router. Find an outlet closer to your router.
    8. Connect your Wi-Fi devices to the extended network you just created. Select the extended network on your device’s Wi-Fi manager. Extended networks are identified by “_Ext” added to the end of your main network name(s). Your range extender is now set up. Enjoy your extended Wi-Fi coverage. Accessing your range extender settings after WPS Your range extender’s default admin password is “admin”. It is highly recommended that you change this after WPS setup. To change or view range extender settings, first connect to an extended network. In a browser, go to http://extender.linksys.com and enter your admin password.

    Browser-Based Setup
    1. Plug in the range extender
    Connect the antennas and plug in the range extender midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi. Using your mobile device or laptop, be sure you have at least two bars (around 50%) of your router’s Wi-Fi signal at that location. The setup software will help you find the right place if you have trouble.
    2. Wait for a blinking orange light
    It could take up to a minute for the light on the top of the range extender to change from blinking white to blinking orange.
    2. If the light doesn’t change color, or if it is solid orange, reset to factory defaults.
    3. Connect to the range extender
    On a computer, phone or tablet, connect to the Wi-Fi network Linksys Extender Setup – XXX. (XXX are the last three digits of your range extender’s MAC address, which can be found on the bottom of the range extender.)
    4. Launch setup
    Enter http://extender.linksys.com in a browser to complete setup. Follow the on-screen instructions to select your network to extend, customize your extended network name and password, and find the best spot using Spot Finder Technology.
