For new TP Link RE4500 Extender.
Just press the WPS on your router/modem first for 1-2 seconds, then press the WPS on TP Link RE4500 Extender for 3-5 seconds.
Now wait for 2 minutes.
The difference in light color and pattern will confirm its connection.
For Used/ old Extender: If its an used TP Link RE4500 Extender then first reset it using a paper clip to press the reset button in a tiny hole for 30 seconds.
Now its brand new, or by default one.
Wait for 2 minutes after reset then proceed further as setup New TP Link RE4500 Extender.
Its now extending your home network with same password as of your home wifi.
Note:
1. During setup, make sure that the TP Link RE4500 Extender is placed within 7-10 feet from Router, at the time of setup, or in the same room.
2. Two minutes patience is the Critical Time that make the difference between success and failure in Setup.
To setup Tplink re450 range extender follow these steps:-
>Plugin the range extender into the wall socket near to your home router for the initial setup.
*If you made any change on the extender before, then reset the extender by pressing reset button for at least 30 seconds.
>Connect any of your wireless device with Tplink extender’s wireless network.
>Open any browser and in the address bar type 192.168.1.254 or 192.168.0.254 or http://tplinkrepeater.net
>Now you will see the setup wizard in the page, follow the instructions to setup the range extender
>If you want you can change the name of extended network and password of your choice that you want for it.
>Now save the settings and range extender will reboot after saving the settings.
>Once extender lights get solid connect your devices to the extended network and try to go online so that we can check that extender setup done successfully.
