I am not able to setup 5g network on linksys extender?

Your linksys extender’s 5G band is going to work if your router having 2 bands, but if your router contains only one band then 5G band of your linksys extender is not going to work.
Well that totally depends if your router is dual band if yes the extender will work dual band
But if the router is the Single band the extender will work with the single band.
