The extender networks show up but when I type in admin the join button doesn’t light up. I even reset it and started over. Not sure what to do.
Follow these steps:-
>Plugin the range extender into the direct wall socket near to your home router for the initial setup.
*If you made any change on the extender before or you forgot the password of extender network then reset the extender by pressing reset button for at least 30 seconds.
>Once you will get stable light on it connect any of your wireless device with Linksys extender Setup wireless network.
>Open any browser and in the address bar type http://extender.linksys.com or 192.168.1.1
>Now you will see the setup wizard in the page, follow the on screen instructions to setup the range extender
>If you want you can change the name of extended network and password of your choice that you want for it but do write it down on your notepad so that you will not forget it.
>Now save the settings and range extender will reboot after saving the settings.
>Once extender light get solid connect your devices to the router network and try to go online so that we can check that setup done successfully.

#To setup your LINKSYS RE6300 extender kindly follow these steps:-
-Plug in your extender in to the wall socket
-Press the reset button/Pin hole on your extender for 10 seconds .
-Wait Till the time all lights on you extender are back again.
-Now you can connect your computer with the extended network.
-Once connected with network open the Default IP of your extender i.e 192.168.1.1
-Now follow the steps and set up your extender with the existing network
-Once configured You can took your extender to the place where you would like to use it
-Connect your devices with the extended network .

In order to set up the RE6300 Range extender you would need to follow the following steps:
Step 1
> First connect your computer wireless or wired to the range extender
> login to extender.linksys.com or 192.168.1.1
> initiate the setup.
Step 2
> Press the WPS button on the router first for 3 seconds and then on the extender for 3 seconds once the light on the extender stops blinking the setup is complete.
