  • Yes, you can use your Linksys extender as a Access Point as well.
At the time of setup you just need to select that you want to use your extender as a Access point and it is going to work as a access point.

  • You can use the linksys extender as a access point . there are the following ways to do that:
Step 1: Plug your range extender into a power outlet. Wait until the light starts blinking orange.
Step 2: Connect an ethernet cable from the router to your range extender and wait until the LED turns green.
Step 3: Connect a wireless computer or a mobile device to the range extender’s default SSID, which is Linksys Extender
    Setup.
Step 4: Open a web browser, then enter “http://extender.linksys.com” in the Address bar.
Step 5 CLICk – start set up
Step 6: Select the As a wired range extender (Access point) option, then click Next.
Step 7: Create the extended network that the range extender will be broadcasting, then click Next.
Step 8: Create an admin password to secure your range extender, then click Save.
Step 9: You might be prompted to register your Linksys product to receive updates and other information. Enter your
Email Address then click Next, or click Skip.
Now you can see your extender is set up as a access point.
