  • In order to improve the download speed on a Linksys router please follow the instructions below:
    > Login to the Linksys Dashboard
    > Go to the wireless settings and change the channels for the 2.4 GHz make it 11 and for the 5 GHz make it 157
    > Check if there is a new firmware update available for the router if yes do it
    > power cycle the modem and the router and then check the speed
    > If still, the speed is an issue check the cables and make sure the cable between the modem and the router should not have any cracks on it.
