- In order to configure the New Linksys router with the older one, we have to make some changes to the New router and for that connect an Ethernet cable from the Lan port of the New router to the computer.
- Then after that, open your browser and type the Ip address of the New router
- it will take you to the setup page of the new router, follow the instructions on the screen and complete the basic steps and then login into the router settings
- once you are logged in, then go to the Lan settings and change the Ip address(for example:- If your older router’s DHCP range is from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.100 then on the new router, you can change the Ip address to 192.168.1.101) and then Disable the DHCP Server.
- once you are done with that, then Connect the Ethernet cable between your older router and the new router(make sure that cable should be connected to the Lan to Lan)
- And after that restart your both the routers and then it will be good to go.
