In order to change the password on the linksys router you would need to logon to the router login page ether busing the IP address default ip is 192.168.1.1 or by logging in to https://www.linksyssmartwifi.com.
the default username and password is admin and admin or it would be the email and the password that you created while the initial setup.
Now to setup your extender you would need to first press the WPS button on the router and then on the router for 3 seconds once the light turns solid the setup is complete or else you can connect your computer to the wireless of the extender to the default SSID. and pull up a browser and the logon to http://www.extender.linksys.com or 192.168.1.1 and username is admin password is password.
