  • NO , you cannot change the built firmware version of your TP LINK router.If you will do that your router firmware will be damaged.

  • No, as the firmware that you will upload should be compatible with the hardware version of your extender/router.

  • NO , you cannot change the built firmware version of your TP-Link extender. Uploading that firmware for v2 on v1 can damage the extender.
