How to upgrade the firmware of the router?

In order to upgrade teh firmware of your Netgear Router, please follow the instructions below:
> Make sure the computer is connected to the router wireless or via Ethernet cable
> Pull up a browser and at the top on the address bar type in https://www.routerlogin.net
> You will get to a login screen the default Username: admin and Password: password
> On the Dashboard screen of the router it will tell you that there is a new firmware upgrade available for you router
> Click on that it will show you the new update click on YES and wait for it to complete.
> However, If you dont see it. It means that there is no new update at this moment.
Connect your computer with router and launch any internet browser using interface http://www.routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1
Log into router dashboard with and once you logged in it will you give you the prompt for firmware upgrade.
Click on that link and upgrade the firmware of your router .
– Connect your router to your PC via ethernet cable.
– Visit https://routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1
– Login with credentials.
– You can find all the default details on the bottom of the router.
– If there is any firmware upgrade is available then it will flash update if available.
– Click on it and hit yes to start downloading and upgrading the new Firmware.
To update the firmware of your Router kindly follow these steps:-
1. Press windows + R key that will open run window for you.
2. Type CMD in the run box.
3. Open Ipconfig and check network statistics.
4. Open your default gateway in any browser.
5. Type your user name and password .
6. now you are on router main page .
7. you need to go to advanced tab and then administration there you will find upgrade of your
router.
8. click on update it will take 2-3 minutes and it will reboot your router automatically after
updation.
now your firmware of router has been successfully updated.
