Setup linksys Range extender

• WPS Method will work for you.

  – Plug the extender near to your router.
  – Use direct socket no surge protector.
  – Press WPS button on your router for 4 seconds.
  – Do the same with your range extender.
  – Wait for 3-4 minutes.
  – Now you can see host wireless name with _EXT.
  – Connect to it using host network password.
  – Once connected try going online and if it didn’t work try hard reset.

• You can set up your Linksys Range Extender using above said WPS method if in case you are not able/failed to do that then you need to follow these steps-
  >At the bottom side of your Linksys RE6500 Range Extender, you will find a Red color button in a tiny pinhole.
  >Grab any paper clip or pen that fits into the hole and press the Red Color button continuously for 5 to 10 seconds then release it.
  >Once you will see that the range extender lights are solid/stable try the above said WPS method once again.

• In order to setup the Linksys Range extender you would need to follow the following steps:
  Step 1
  > First connect your computer wireless or wired to the range extender
  > logon to extender.linksys.com or 192.168.1.1
  > initiate the setup.
  Step 2
  > Press the WPS button on the router first for 3 seconds and then on the extender for 3 seconds once the light on the extender stops blinking the setup is complete.
