I have single band Apple router can run both bands on my Extender Tplink?

Yes you can but the extender’s 5Ghz band performance will be poor as there is no 5Ghz band connectivity with the range extender.
On some TP-link extenders, it worked fine. I used TP-Link RE450.
Yes You can setup your extender with both 2.4GHz and 5GHz band however the speed will be the same from both the bands of the extender as you have a single band router.
