MY PRINTER IS IN ERROR STATE AND GIVES RED EXCLAMATION MARK WHILE I AM TRYING TO PRINT , WHAT SHOULD I DO ?

  • To resolve this issue kindly follow these steps:-
    1. Reboot your devices i.e computer and printer.
    2. check the status of print spooler services.
    3. check for windows updates.
    If problem still persists kindly reset the settings to factory default and re setup the printer again.
    To setup your printer kindly follow these steps:-
    1. on your printer panel you need to press wi fi button then you will see a blinking light over there.
    2. then you need to go for wireless settings under settings you need to look for wireless setup
    wizard.
    3. your printer will search for available networks.
    4. select your network name and give the right password to it.
    5. click on connect it will be connected then you can print test wireless settings page .
    6. then you need to download software for your printer from official hp website.
    7. after downloading just follow the setup wizard and you are good to go now.
    (you can also connect your printer by wps method)

  • Your printer can be in an Error state due to various reason. you would have an Error code on the printer.
    Although try and reset the printer to the default settings and try to reconfigure the setup. try using a USB cable from your computer to print. reinstall the drivers.
    if its Wifi Printer open your router login page and check your device list and see if the printer is in the list if not do the wireless setup again
