how do i update the firmware for my Re6300 range extender?

Connect an ethernet cable from range extender to PC.
Make sure If WiFi is enabled disable it.
Now visit https://192.168.1.1
Now select Firmware Update.
Check Auto update and hit save.
OR
Download the firmware and manually upgrade it.
Download the firmware from here https://www.linksys.com/us/support/
Search your device and download the latest firmware based on the hardware version.
To update the firmware of Netgear R7900 kindly follow these steps:-
1. Launch an Internet browser from a computer or wireless device that is connected to the network.
2. Type your default gateway in the browser address bar and hit enter.
3. Enter the router user name and password.
4. Select ADVANCED > Administration > Router Update.
5. Click the Check button.
6.The router finds new firmware information if any is available and displays a message asking if you want to download and install it.
7. Click the Yes button. router locates and downloads the firmware and begins the update.
8.When the upload is complete, your extender restarts. The upgrade process typically takes about one minute.

In order to update the firmware of your RE 6300 Extender please follow the instruction below:
> Connect your computer to the WiFi of your range extender.
> Login to your extender page you can use https://extender.linksys.com
> Default password is admin
> go to firmware upgrade on left panel
> Click on check for new upgrade
> it will show your the new upgrade if available click on update it will install the update and reboot the extender.
> the firmware upgrade is now complete.
