To connect your Linksys Range Extender RE6500 with your wifi you can follow the steps given below –
1. Place range extender near to your router for the initial setup and plug in the power adapter to the wall socket.
2. You can position antennas upright at different angles for the better results.
3. Once the extender’s top panel lights get solid connect one of your devices with extender network named as Linksys Extender Setup.
4. If in case of extender network name is not showing in the wifi list then you can reset the extender by pressing the Reset button continuously for 10 seconds that you can find at the bottom of your extender.
5. Now you can open a web browser on your device to access Linksys EA6500 Extender web-based setup by entering the URL 192.168.1.1 or http://extender.linksys.com in the address bar of your browser.
6. You can easily complete the further setup by following the instructions.
