To change then Ssid and password of your Linksys Extender 4100w kindly follow these steps:-
1. Press windows + R key that will open run window for you.
2. Type CMD in the run box.
3. Open Ipconfig and check network statistics.
4. Open your default gateway in any browser.
5. Type your user name and password .
6. It will open main page then you need to go to wireless section .
7. Under wireless section you can change passphrase/network key and your network name as well.

– Connect to Linksys extender network.
– Open your browser and type http://extender.linksys.com or type 192.168.1.1.
– Login will appear.
– Login with your credentials.
– Now under network choose 2.4 or 5GHz.
– Change the credentials of any band and save the settings.
In order to change the SSID and the password for your Linksys extender please follow the instruction below:
> log into the Dashboard of the linksys extender
> Go into the Basic Settings . Wireless settings
> Change the name (SSID) and the password > Save the settings
> Reboot the extender and wait for 2 minutes
> connect your devices using the new name and the password for your extender.
note : you can also reset the Extender and re setup the extender with new details.
