How to go to firmware update in my router?

  • To update the firmware of your Netgear router you need to follow these steps:-
    1. Press windows + R key that will open run window for you.
    2. Type CMD in the run box.
    3. Open Ipconfig and check network statistics.
    4. Open your default gateway in any browser.
    5. Type your user name and password .
    6. now you are on router main page .
    7. you need to go to advanced tab and then administration there you will find upgrade of your
    router.
    8. click on update it will take 2-3 minutes and it will reboot your router automatically after updation.
    now your firmware of router has been successfully updated.

  • Login to your netgear router page by entering the default username and password.
    Now go to the advanced tab and click on firmware .
    Now here you can check the firmware upgrade available and upgrade your router version.
    Your Router will reboot itself and once it is back everything is up and running.
