In order to change the name and the password for the you wifi , please follow the steps below:
> Connect your computer wireless or via ethernet cable to your linksys router
> Pull up a browser and login to 192.168.1.1 and hit Enter
> Router login screen will come up the default username: admin and the default password: admin
> you will get to the Linksys router dashboard
> on the left panel you will see wireless
> Change the name and password for your Wifi and save the changes or click on apply.
> your router will reboot connect you devices to the new name using the new password.
– Connect with your Linksys router wireless or hard wire.
– Open your browser.
– Type in the address bar 192.168.1.1 or http://www.linksyssmartwifi.com.
– Login to your Linksys account.
– Go to wireless settings.
– Here you can change wireless name and password.
You need to access the web based Gui of your linksys router by 192.168.1.1 or linksyssmartwifi.com
Then go to the dashboard and click on security tab and change the wifi name nad password of your router.
Apply all the settings and reconnect your devices with new settings .
To change the password of your wi fi you need to follow these steps:-
1. Press windows + R key that will open run window for you.
2. Type CMD in the run box.
3. Open Ipconfig and check network statistics.
4. Open your default gateway in any browser.
5. Type your user name and password .
6. It will open router main page then you need to go to wireless section .
7. Under wireless section you can change passphrase/network key.
8. save the settings and connect your devices with new password
