Alexa Setup with a Linksys Router, Follow the steps below:
> Power on the Alexa Dot
> Install the Alexa app on your phone from the app store
> Open your app go to the settings , Click on setup new device
> You will see your alexa device in the list select that
> exit out of the app by pressing the home button on the phone
> go to the settings of the phone > Wifi > select your amazon alexa name in the list and click connect or join
> go back to the app and select choose your Wifi, select your linksys network in the list and wait untill you see the orange light on the ring of the DOT device.
> Press the Dot button on the alexa for 3 – 4 seconds.
> start talking to to the alexa the setup is complete.
Download the Alexa app and sign in.
Turn on Amazon Echo (1st Generation).
Connect Amazon Echo (1st Generation) to a Wi-Fi network.
You can now use your Echo device. To get started, say the “wake word” and then speak naturally to Alexa.
To configure your Alexa with Linksys router kindly follow these steps:-
1. Before we start please Create a Cloud Account for your Kasa app to enable
remote control of your devices.
2. Sign in to Kasa using your Kasa account. Make sure your account is verified and all your smart
devices are saved to your account.
3. You need to enable Remote Control in Kasa for Alexa to discover your devices.
4. Set good device names
5. In the Alexa app, tap the menu button and then tap Smart Home.
6. Tap on “Get More Smart Home Skills” to add the Kasa skill Go to Smart Home Skill
7. Search for “Kasa” and, when found, tap the Kasa skill to enable it.
8. Sign in to your Kasa account
9. Tap “Discover Devices.” Alexa will search for your Devices.
10.it might take few seconds for complete setup,but Once complete, you should see all your remote control-enabled devices in your Smart Home page.
