How do I change the name and the password for my Wifi on my Linksys Router

Launch a web browser and enter “192.168.1.1” in the Address bar then press [Enter]
Enter your login credentials on the field(s) provided.
When the router’s web-based setup page opens, click Wireless.
At the Wireless > Basic Wireless Settings page, please select Manual for Wireless Configuration.
Look for SSID and change it to your desired name for the wireless network.
Please save the changes and EXIT.

To change the Wi fi name and password of your network kindly follow these steps:-
1. Press windows + R key that will open run window for you.
2. Type CMD in the run box.
3. Open Ipconfig and check network statistics.
4. Open your default gateway in any browser.
5. Type your user name and password .
6. It will open router main page then you need to go to wireless section .
7. Under wireless section you can change wi fi name and passphrase/network key.
8. save the settings and connect your devices with new password

– Make sure before accessing router login page you need to be connected to your Linksys router.
– Login with your admin credentials for local access or use your Linksys account.
– Go to wireless settings and make desired changes.
in order to change the name and the password for your linksys router you need to follow the following steps:
> make sure the computer is connected to the default SSID of your linksys router wireless or via ethernet cable.
> pull up a browser and logon to 192.168.1.1 and hit enter
> you will see a login page for linksys, Enter the username and the password although the default username is admin and password is admin
> go to the wireless panel of the router and here you can change the name and the password for your wifi.

You need to access the web based Gui of your linksys router by 192.168.1.1 or linksyssmartwifi.com
Then go to the dashboard and click on security tab and change the wifi name nad password of your router.
Apply all the settings and reconnect your devices with new settings .
