  • To update the firmware of Netgear R7900 kindly follow these steps:-
    1. Launch an Internet browser from a computer or wireless device that is connected to the network.
    2. Type http://www.routerlogin.net or http://www.routerlogin.com.
    3. Enter the router user name and password.
    4. Select ADVANCED > Administration > Router Update.
    5. Click the Check button.
    6.The router finds new firmware information if any is available and displays a message asking if you want to download and install it.
    7. Click the Yes button.The router locates and downloads the firmware and begins the update.
    8.When the upload is complete, your router restarts. The upgrade process typically takes about one minute.

  • Connect your computer with router and launch any internet browser using interface http://www.routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1
    Log into router dashboard with and once you logged in it will you give you the prompt for firmware upgrade.
    Click on that link and upgrade the firmware of your router .

  • In Order to update the firmware of the router R 7900 Netgear Night Hawk Router Please follow the instruction Below:
    > Connect your Computer to the router Wirless or via Ethernet cable
    > Pull up a browser on the computer and at the very top on the address bar type in 192.168.1.1 or http://www.routerlogin.net and then hit enter.
    > A screen will appear and it will ask you for the default name and password, the default username: admin and the Password: password or if you have changed it during the setup enter the credentials.
    > you will be logged in into the netgear genie dashboard of the router
    > on the top you will see “a new firmware for the router is available” click on that it will show up a file to update, click on yes and wait. The router firmware will be updated.

    2. You can use Ethernet cable from router to PC or wirelessly connect to the router.
    3. Once connected open your browser.
    4. Now in the address bar type http://www.routerlogin.net.

    6. The login screen will appear.
    7. Use Default – username-admin / password-password
    8. Updates will flash on the screen.
