i have Netgear r 7000 , i can;t find my network name on my laptop.
If you cann't find the network name on the laptop of your Netgear R7000 router then first thing you need to check is that WIFI ON/OFF button should be ON on the router. Second it has to be under the router WiFi range. Also on the computer WiFi should be enabled. We can also try updating the drivers. Try updating the firmware OR try restarting the router and computer both.If nothing of this works then try resetting the router.
Now the question is if you are not able to see just the Netgear signals or any signals if it's just the Netgear Wifi Signals then you would have to press the Wi-Fi on and off button on the router that should resolve the issue.
However, if you don't see any signals, Then press and hold the Windows key and press letter R and you will get a run window, type in devmgmt.msc and hit enter. You will get to the Device manager screen look for the network adapter and click on the arrow on the left of it. look for the wireless adapter driver right-click on it and click on update and update the drivers automatically anyhow if the issue is still not fixed uninstall the adapter and restart the computer. if still the problem comes back to reset the router.
There are some troubleshooting methods that we can try to fix this problem, which is shown below:-
- make sure your wifi button is On on your Netgear router
- make sure you are in the range of the Netgear router
- Wifi button or wifi adapter should be enabled on your laptop
- Try to update the drivers for the wifi adapter on your laptop and for that you need to the device manager settings and under the Network adapters, you can update the driver for the wireless
- try to restart the Netgear router and the Laptop
- try to update the firmware on your Netgear router(if new firmware is available)
- If still the issue is not fixed then, you can try to reset the Netgear router and reconfigure it again.
The reason why you don’t see your network name is because your Netgear R7000 is not broadcasting WiFi. You need to press WiFi button on the router for broadcasting the name.Still can’t see the name try login in the router page (ROUTERLOGIN.NET) and enable wifi broadcasting.
If you are not able to see your Netgear r7000 wifi name just ON your laptop then try updating your wireless adapter .Make sure you restart your computer.
